The beginning
WEAR WOLF APPAREL’s roots began in 1997 in the hallways of William M. Raines High School in Jacksonville, FL where Ron Williams put his creations down on paper to have done up by air brush artists at local flea market booths, eventually this moved into “Knock-offs” spoof gear inspired by the hot labels of the time. This would carry the young student into the profitable world of custom clothing where he would learn about a multitude of design styles & techniques to fuel his interest in graphic art & design.
Fast-forward to 2003, fresh out of college and after years of the ideas behind the gear lying dormant, the spark to take a serious crack at a clothing label brought about WEAR WOLF APPAREL. After a series of trials and errors, the plan solidified for the designs, and by the summer of 2007, it was official.
Currently WEAR WOLF APPAREL is a subsidiary of INWEST LLC & Inkwest.net.
Why the name?
The name is meant to be a multi-play on the concept of versatility. Sounding it out one way, the famed movie & literary monsters werewolves are evoked. These creatures are known for their ability to shape-shift during periods of the full moon.The nature of the werewolf is viral, meaning that the condition /culture is easily spread among others.
Say it another way, and it is a mandate wear WOLF apparel, which brings about the symbolism of the wolf, a animal noted both for tendencies of being loners as well as working well in groups. In certain cultural circles wolves are seen as protectors, teachers, leaders while in others they are know as tricksters but still they provide lessons for surviving life’s twists & turns

You’ll notice the howling wolf overlaying the 3 bars another representation of versatility, the wolf representing the duality of group and singular leadership; the bars representing a trinity of style, quality & purpose / the transition from classic, to modern and bridging into the future or Heart, Hustle Grind the keys to success.
The Designs
Much of the designs that will be featured in WEAR WOLF APPAREL items are rooted in world culture, pop culture and pop art. It wouldn’t be unusual to find a piece that involves tribal art & pin up style art in a single design, with a twist of another flavor for good measure. The intent of the designs are to deliver a unique perspective on fashion that will set itself and those who wear it apart from the crowd.
